- TAFFETA d'ANGLETERREFrench all-silk taffeta, highly glazed and used for scarfs, dresses, curtains, etc. Originally from England and made in three grades. The wide and narrow black grades were very heavy and alike in quality and construction, finished stiff and used for caps. The coloured grades were either solid colours or in stripes, highly finished, but not so stiff as the black.
